Average Speed Not Correct after Merging GPS files.

Hello! I am really admire what you are doing, but I have a two little, pretty simple questions - 1) as I upload a combined activity to Strava, I can see that a distance and a time in my individual file is different from the combined one (for example, individual file has a 41m 8s length while combined file with StravaTools has length 41m 29s). Unfortunately, but this little thing impacts on an average speed - in combined file it is lower than on an individual file. how it can be fixed? 2) the main reason I am using your service is a possibility to combine heart rate rides with my usual ones - how can I combine two files and to get the same, untouched distance, time and average speed but with heart rate data? basically, how can I add heart rate data only from one ride to another do not having any issues with distance, time and average speed? thanks a lot for the answer.

Try using TCX export and then selecting to use embedded distance (one of the options on the 2nd page). This uses the distances in your original files. This will only work with FIT files imported (and most TCX if they have distance embedded). It will not work if you import GPX because GPX doesn’t have anywhere to store distance.

The problem with average speed is that Strava has their own “minimum speed to be considered moving”. Strava re-interprets every upload, so there might be small differences; usually not enough to matter.

Also, you may want to try the "Interpolate track (add points) " option.
