big activity taking long time to load

Hi. I just completed LEL - 1540km ride. I broke it down into 5 x 300km sections and merged them yesterday.

I got to this message:

Strava Has Been Processing for a Long Time:
- After one minute, Strava still has not sent back an Activity ID
- This can happen if you upload a HUGE file.
- Give it a few minutes and check to see if your activity Made it to Strava.
- You may have to refresh your Strava a few times before the upload appears.

That was 18 hours ago - is it normal to take this long for such a large ride?

No. The most I’ve ever see is about 10 minutes.

I would try uploading your file again. Also, you may need to use the feature that discards track points. Don’t worry; many times you can just drop 90% of the track points, and everything will look the same on Strava. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please zip your files and send them to me (contact me directly using the contact link on the website - if you upload to this forum, everyone will see your files).
